M2018 HAL World Cruise

Once again, we dropped anchor and tendered into port. We had been here before and knew where to go. First, the supermarket for fun stuff. Then into town for lunch and the bookstore and a little market browsing. Then, back to the ship. Another successful day of sightseeing!

Site of the first hotel in the Cook Islands. Built in 1905, it was replaced by the larger, modern Rarotongan Hotel on Aroa Beach in 1970. Today it is Banana Court and home to several businesses.

Now we are on our way to Alofi on the island nation of Niue.
