2018 HAL World Cruise

Leaving the ferry dock in Vai’are, our driver Jo (of Jo’s Tours) drove us past Cook’s Bay, the Belvedere, and Opunohu Bay. We arrived at the InterContinental Hotel in about 20 minutes. Once we had checked-in and arranged with the concierge for the evening’s Tahitian Show and dinner, we took a quick look at our bungalow and then had lunch. Afterwards, we visited the dolphin aquarium ($160.00/pp to swim with the dolphins which we didn’t do but have done in the past—it is a magical experience) and the Turtle Clinic where injured turtles are nursed back to health. After a quick dip in the ocean, we called for a cart to pick us up and take us to the beach for the Tahitian Show and dinner. It was a joyous day!
